January Update
Wow, it’s already more than 3 weeks I haven’t posted something on this blog. But I didn’t have something interesting to write and I have been quite busy.
First, I have been working. Yeah, I am still doing the iOS development thing and my app is finally ready to submit to Apple. That process should have been initiated 2 weeks ago, but somehow we did not came to that. In the meanwhile I fixed the last annoyances and minor bugs.
But my work will end on January 31st. Why? Because I am going emigrate to Mexico. I have an excellent job offer to work for a university. Actually, I had that offer already long time, and the iOS development job was just to bridge the time I could start there.
On February 15th, my new work is going to start in Coatzacoalcos, México. I am going to develop an Intranet system for the university and will be the “Director of Engineering and Software Design“. But that title is only a draft. It will probably change. Beside the development of the Intranet, I will have various other tasks. For example, once my Spanish is a little better, I will be able to give courses in the software development area. Anyhow, I think it’s going to be a really tough job. But most of it are things I really love to do.
The real reason I am emigrating to Mexico is my girlfriend Ylenia. I haven’t seen her since September and I am sick of all the “seeing each other for some months and then wait another some months”. I am really looking forward to see her again. Yeah, yeah… behind an undertaking like this is always a woman 
My flight is going on January February 9th and I will arrive at my destination (Minatitlán Airport) the next day. I will stay overnight in Mexico City. It’s very comfortable, since the hotel is located directly inside of the airport terminal.
Now, I have to tie up some ends and make everything ready for departure. Adiós muchachos!
